1) Introduction

These Terms & Conditions govern equipment rentals and your use of our website operated by STAR TOOL FOR CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT & MACHINERY RENTAL CO. (“STAR TOOL”, “we”, “us”, “our”) from Al Quoz 4, Dubai. By placing an order, accepting delivery, or using our website/social channels, you agree to these terms.

2) Definitions

  • Customer / you: the company or individual renting equipment or using our site.
  • Equipment: tools, machines, accessories, and consumables supplied for rent.
  • Rental Period: time from delivery/collection to return/check-in confirmed by us.
  • Site: the delivery address or project location where equipment is used.

3) Eligibility & KYC

We may require Emirates ID/Trade License, proof of authority, and deposit. You confirm you are legally able to contract and will use the equipment safely and lawfully.

4) Quotes, Orders & Booking Confirmation

  • Quotes are estimates and subject to availability until confirmed.
  • A booking is confirmed when we issue a confirmation (WhatsApp/email/invoice) and you pay any required deposit or prepayment.
  • We may substitute equivalent models where required to meet timelines; we’ll notify you in advance where practicable.

5) Pricing, Payment & Taxes

  • Prices are in AED and may be quoted per day, week, or month. Longer rentals usually receive better rates.
  • Unless stated otherwise, prices are exclusive of VAT, transportation, fuel, blades/bits/consumables, and site passes.
  • Payment terms: cash, card, bank transfer, or approved account terms. Invoices are due on receipt unless agreed otherwise.
  • We may charge admin fees for late payment and suspend service if sums are overdue.

6) Security Deposit

A refundable deposit may be required. Deductions can be made for loss, damage, cleaning, missing accessories, fuel, excess hours, or late return fees. Balances are returned after inspection.

7) Delivery, Pickup & Site Access

  • Same-day delivery/pickup can be arranged within Dubai and nearby areas, subject to transport fees.
  • You must ensure safe access, parking permits, lifting/handling arrangements, and a competent receiver on site.
  • Risk passes on delivery/collection (see Ownership & Risk). Any damage or shortage must be reported immediately on receipt.

8) Equipment Condition, Use & Care

  • Equipment is supplied tested and in good working order. You must inspect on delivery and notify us of issues before use.
  • Use only for its intended purpose, within rated capacity, and by competent operators following manuals, safety rules and local regulations.
  • Do not modify, sub-rent, or move equipment to a different site without our written approval.
  • You are responsible for daily checks (fluids, blades, cables), safe storage, and protection from theft, weather and misuse.

9) Loss, Damage & Liability

  • You are liable for loss, theft, and damage (fair wear & tear excluded) from delivery until return check-in.
  • Charges may include repair/replacement, parts, labour, transport, and downtime.
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (e.g., project delay, loss of profit). Our total liability is limited to the rental fees paid for the affected item during the Rental Period, unless prohibited by law.

10) Late Returns & Extensions

  • Return on time or request an extension in advance. Late returns may be charged at the applicable daily rate plus collection costs.
  • Unapproved extensions may be treated as unauthorised possession and reported accordingly.

11) Cancellations & No-Shows

  • Cancellation windows vary by equipment and schedule. Where transport is dispatched or preparation completed, reasonable fees may apply.
  • No-shows may incur the first day’s rental and transport charges.

12) Maintenance, Breakdown & Replacements

  • In case of a fault, stop using the equipment and contact us immediately. We will troubleshoot or provide a replacement when available.
  • Damage due to misuse, incorrect power/fuel, or unauthorised repair is chargeable.

13) Ownership & Risk

All equipment remains our property. Risk of loss or damage transfers to you during the Rental Period and returns to us after inspection at check-in.

14) Insurance

You are responsible for suitable site, third-party, and equipment insurance during the Rental Period unless otherwise agreed in writing.

15) Health, Safety & Compliance

  • You must ensure operators are competent and use appropriate PPE.
  • Comply with applicable UAE laws, municipal rules, and site regulations.
  • We may refuse supply or remove equipment if we consider conditions unsafe.

16) Prohibited Uses

No unlawful use, tampering, overloading, or operation outside manufacturer limits. Do not use on hazardous materials or in explosive atmospheres unless equipment is rated for such use and explicitly approved.

17) Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold STAR TOOL, its staff and suppliers harmless from claims, damages, fines, and costs arising from your breach of these terms, unsafe practices, unlawful use, or misuse of equipment.

18) Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control (e.g., extreme weather, accident, supply chain disruption, government action). We will resume performance as soon as practicable.

19) Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate rentals if payments are overdue, misuse is suspected, safety is compromised, or you breach these terms. On termination, you must immediately return equipment or allow us to collect it.

20) Website Use & Intellectual Property

  • Site content, logos, images and text are owned by STAR TOOL or licensors and protected by IP laws.
  • You may not copy, scrape or reuse content without permission.
  • Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience; we’re not responsible for their content or policies.

21) Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the Emirate of Dubai. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Dubai courts, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.

22) Changes to Terms

We may update these terms to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes. We will post the new effective date above. Continued rental or site use after changes indicates acceptance.
